Where This Centre List Comes From — Data & Transparency

Where the 984 de-addiction centres listed on this website come from, how they were checked, and how reliable the information is — set out openly. A family may travel on the strength of this list, so it deserves full transparency.

Sources

• Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) public listings — Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. These include recognised facilities such as IRCA, ODIC, CPLI and ATF.
• State government lists — for example Punjab’s OOAT clinics, Kerala’s Vimukthi centres, and the published lists of Delhi, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and other states.
• De-addiction OPDs and ATFs at government hospitals — district hospitals and medical colleges.

How verification works

Every listing carries a status marker:

• ✓ From official government list — the entry is taken from a government document or portal (about 716 centres).
• ⏳ Verification pending — the centre exists, but we have not yet independently confirmed its phone number and address (about 299 entries). We are calling through these progressively.

Important: Please phone the centre before travelling to confirm timings, facilities and whether admission is available. Government lists too can fall out of date.

How often it is updated

Current data version: August 2026. We reconcile the list against government sources every three months. Prison-based facilities and state-level coordination units are excluded because they are not useful to a member of the public seeking treatment.

Do we take money from any centre?

No. We charge nothing for adding a centre, ranking it higher or removing it, and we have no commercial relationship with any private centre. Government and verified centres are shown first.
